DIRTY TEETH, DENIM DREAMS (DUO)

This is where the physical shell meets the longings of her soul and its corrosive qualities. Sleepless nights, long journeys home at dawn and another cigarette. She never sleeps! A blue rose from the kiosk, the romantic ideal. Lipstick on the glass and on the teeth. Where does the shoe pinch? In the exhibition DIRTY TEETH, DENIM DREAMS, a dialogue unfolds between a sometimes dreamed reality and the looming reality check. Eliza Wagener and Isabell Sterner use delicate force to shape matter and create works that describe moments and states of becoming and passing. Attempts to capture a reality that is constantly changing under the influence of hidden forces. The works on display bear witness to this constant transformation without revealing the forces that cause it. The exhibition is supported by the Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachsen and the Amt für Kultur und Denkmalschutz der Landeshauptstadt Dresden.
